Roads Policing Unit set up to investigate serious traffic accidents

Driving forward… We welcome the announcement of the Roads Policing Unit, within the Malta Police Force. Initiatives geared to enforce traffic rules and investigate what led to major traffic accidents are another important step towards improving safety for the benefit of all road users. While we applaud the creation of this unit, as Insurance Association Malta, we encourage the authorities to proceed with setting up the long-awaited Road Safety Bureau; we urgently need more measures that promote safe driving, including stricter enforcement against drink- and drug-driving.
