Adrian Galea, Director General – Malta Insurance Association was a guest to the programme conducted by Mr. Alfred Zammit - KALAMITA.
Mr. Galea explained the importance of choosing the right insurance product available within the market. Circumstances are unpredictable and a solution is available to the general public to transfer risks through insurance cover. He also went on to explain that although motor vehicle insurance is compulsory, such insurance cover safeguards and protects victims from motor accidents. The importance of responsible driving and discipline on the road was also emphasised with the MIA being an active member of the Malta Road Safety Council, and reiterated that it is unlawful to drive under the influence of alcohol, drugs or else using a mobile device.
