LESA officials called to 13,191 traffic collisions throughout 2025
LESA officials were called to 13,191 traffic collisions throughout 2025 according to information provided in parliament.
The figure was provided by Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri in reply to a question by PN MP Ivan Bartolo.
According to recent data published by the National Statistics Office, the number of traffic accidents registered during the last three months of 2025 dropped by nearly 7 per cent.
Road traffic casualties also decreased: by 10.8 per cent to 332 over the same period in 2024.
Most accidents were reported in the northern harbour district: 1,200 cases or 32.5 per cent of all accidents.
